Meet Anita
DATING & RELATIONSHIP EXPERT
LICENSED MARRIAGE & FAMILY THERAPIST
My mission is to prove that healthy and satisfying relationships are possible—and it starts with choosing the right partner. Through OnLove Xperiences, I aim to share my expertise so that you date wisely and avoid divorce.
Anita is a dating and relationship expert, author, and speaker. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist and has been featured in numerous media outlets and quoted in hundreds of articles.
Since 2006, with a mission to prevent divorce, Anita equips clients with research-based knowledge and tools to build healthy, lasting relationships.
She is the co-founder and co-owner of On Love X, LLC. She is also the founder and owner of Anita On Love, LLC, a coaching business, and Relationship Reality 312, Inc., a therapy group practice—both dedicated to helping clients with improving their love lives.
Anita holds a master’s degree in marital and family therapy from the University of San Diego, a master’s degree in secondary education from Arizona State University, and dual bachelor’s degrees in English and religion from the University of Iowa.

You may know Nick Thompson from season two of Netflix’s hit reality show “Love is Blind,” but there’s a side of him you may not know: The Storyteller.
Nick believes everyone has a story to tell and should shine as their authentic self. Nick’s most passionate about building human connections to remove stigmas around mental health, holistic lifestyles, culture, free speech, and more. His “Eyes Wide Open with Nick Thompson” podcast elevates these societal issues with honest, authentic conversations with expert guests. All to ensure we show up in the world with our eyes wide open.
Nick is passionate about entertaining people, solving problems, building emotional connections, health and wellness, self-improvement, and giving back to the community. Professionally, he is a marketing executive in the software industry, where he crafts meaningful stories that center the customer as the hero of brand and product stories. He leads by example, focusing on empathy, integrity, and doing the right thing.
As an activist, Nick volunteers for political campaigns and social justice causes in his community. His activism and reality TV experience led him to co-found the UCAN Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to supporting reality TV cast members and advocating for change in the industry.
Nick co-founded On Love X, LLC, after feeling fatigued by dating culture and felt a purpose to help people find love and partnership without all the headaches.
Why Did We Start OnLove Xperiences?
Fate brought us together over failed dating experiences
WE ARE SICK OF DATING CULTURE
AND DECIDED TO MAKE A CHANGE
It all started because of a canceled date.
It was the Chicago Bears season opener, and Anita’s date canceled last minute (of course!). She had two options: stay home and watch the game alone or go to a local bar to enjoy it with other fans. Needless to say, the bar won. What she hadn’t anticipated was that three hours later she would walk out as the host of a singles’ party in just a few short weeks.
Just a few days later, Nick (who shares a neighborhood with Anita) walked into the same bar and saw the event advertisement. As a single guy who refuses to use dating apps, he thought this would be a great way to meet people, and that promoting it would encourage people to meet in real life.
Nick followed Anita on social. Anita joined Nick’s podcast (Eyes Wide Open w/ Nick Thompson) to discuss dating culture. And the rest is history.
The first singles’ party was a smashing success. It attracted over 250 singles and produced several first dates (and a few new couples ☺️). The event proved that there is a need for more real-life single experiences designed to help people meet the old-fashioned way.
OnLove Xperiences was created to help singles get off the f’n apps and find their person in real life.
